SwingEasy Loop — Privacy Policy
SwingEasy Loop is an iPhone app for golfers: keep a roster of the people you play with, see everyone's current Handicap Index, and check that handicaps are up to date. This policy explains what information the app handles and — more importantly — what it doesn't.
The short version
- Everything lives on your phone. SwingEasy Loop has no servers, no user accounts of its own, and no database of yours in the cloud.
- We collect nothing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software watching what you do.
- Your GHIN sign-in stays on your device, protected by the iPhone's Keychain, and is used only to talk to GHIN.
- Delete the app and everything is gone.
Information stored on your phone
When you use the app, the following is saved on your device only:
- Golfers you add — names, nicknames, and (if you enter or fetch them) Handicap Index values, GHIN numbers, club names, and score-history summaries such as the date of a golfer's last posted score.
- Your own golfer profile — if you set up the "Me" tab: your name, GHIN number, club, Handicap Index, and recent score list fetched from GHIN.
- Email addresses and phone numbers — only if you import a golfer from your phone's Contacts, and only for the people you individually pick.
- App preferences — such as your default search state and search settings.
None of this is transmitted to SwingEasy Labs. We never see it.
Your GHIN account
Connecting a GHIN account is optional. If you connect one:
- Your GHIN email (or GHIN number) and password are stored in the iOS Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential store, on your device only.
- They are sent to GHIN's own service, over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), solely to sign you in — exactly as if you signed in to the GHIN app or ghin.com yourself. They are never sent to SwingEasy Labs or anyone else.
- After sign-in, the app talks to GHIN's service to do what you ask: look up golfers by name, and refresh handicaps and score summaries for the golfers in your roster.
- Your use of GHIN data is governed by GHIN's and the USGA's own terms and privacy policy; SwingEasy Loop is an independent app and does not control what GHIN's service logs on its side.
- Disconnecting GHIN in Settings deletes the stored credentials from your device immediately.
Importing from Contacts
The app uses Apple's system contact picker, which shows your contacts outside the app — SwingEasy Loop receives only the specific people you tap, and only their name, email, and phone number. The app cannot see, read, or scan the rest of your address book, and nothing from your contacts is uploaded anywhere.
What we don't do
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind.
- No advertising and no ad identifiers.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of any data — we have nothing to sell.
- No accounts, profiles, or cloud storage held by SwingEasy Labs.
- No data brokers, no "partners," no third-party SDKs.
Where your information goes
The only network connections the app makes are to GHIN's service, at your direction (signing in, searching golfers, refreshing handicaps). There is no other destination.
Keeping and deleting your information
You are in full control, on your own device:
- Delete any golfer from the roster at any time.
- Disconnect your GHIN account in Settings to remove your stored sign-in.
- Delete the app to remove everything it ever stored.
Because we hold no copies, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.
Children
SwingEasy Loop is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Security
Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain; all communication with GHIN uses HTTPS encryption; everything else stays in the app's private storage on your device, protected by your device passcode and Apple's standard app sandboxing.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync), we will update this policy, change the effective date above, and describe the change in the App Store release notes before it applies to you.
